A huge thank you to Ali for such a wonderful experience this morning! We’re visiting from out of town, and from the moment he picked us up right on time, we felt completely comfortable and taken care of.
Ali was incredibly personable, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He took the time to learn about our trip and shared local history, helpful recommendations, and great insight along the way, which made the ride feel much more personal and memorable.

Just a note to say that “Prince Ali” did a wonderful job of escorting my wife and I from Greenock to Stewarton and back. He was prompt, professional, and personable. We flew in from Asheville, NC and had all kinds of crazy from the time we hit Charlotte then Heathrow then through to Edinburgh. Amar helped saved the beginning of our family vacation after flight changes and airports put us way off track with our vehicle rental. He waited for us at the airport (thankfully not too long) when we realized not all our luggage made it to Edinburgh and he put us back on track by getting us quickly to Glasgow to get our rental while advising us about driving on the left side and recommending grocery stops on our route to our lodge from car rental. I’ve used Amar’s services for airport private transfer, and I enjoyed my experience so much that I asked if he would do the honour of getting me to my wedding on time with my daughter and mum. We had an outstanding experience with RAZ Private Hire, and especially with our driver, Ali.
Even prior to the trip, Ali was exceptional. He sent a helpful introduction and clear instructions the day before our journey, followed up with frequent updates throughout the day. This made the entire process from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow completely stress-free.
Ali was on time, professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful with our luggage. Our conversation during the ~50 minute drive was interesting and enjoyable, and he shared tips and recommendations for places to visit in Glasgow and Scotland. After our trip, he even took the time to send us links to some of the places he had recommended.
The vehicle was comfortable, the journey was smooth, and the service was fantastic. Ali genuinely seemed to care about making our arrival in Glasgow a great experience rather than simply getting us from point A to point B.
We would absolutely recommend RAZ Private Hire and, if you’re fortunate enough to have Ali as your driver, you’re in excellent hands. Five stars without hesitation!

I booked with Raz Private Hires very last minute after my travel plans unexpectedly fell through, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, or a more reliable driver than Amar. It was 7 PM when my transport plans fell through, and I urgently needed to get from Glasgow to Oban by 6 AM to catch my ferry, and with no trains or buses left, I was worried about finding someone willing to take a long-distance booking at such short notice, especially with a very early pick-up.
I booked at around 7:30pm for a 3:20am pick-up. Although I received the automated confirmation email straight away, with such short notice, such an early start and a long-distance journey, I was still worried there might not actually be a driver available to take the booking. Amar personally contacted me not long afterwards to introduce himself as my driver and to confirm the ETA, which was incredibly reassuring. I greatly appreciated having my booking confirmed through message by my assigned driver.
Amar was incredibly responsive, and reliable. When I mentioned that I was worried about being late for my ferry, Amar even checked for any road closures that might affect the journey so that we could adjust the pick-up time if necessary. He also sent me a message when he was on his way for pick up as well.
Amar arrived early for the pick-up, and I made it to Oban with plenty of time before check-in. He also told me that if I ever need to make an urgent last-minute journey in the future and the website doesn’t allow me to book at such short notice, it’s still worth contacting them directly by phone or message as they may have availability. I really appreciated him mentioning this and will definitely keep it in mind for the future.
Raz Private Hires genuinely saved me from what could have been a complete travel disaster. After this experience, they’d be the first people I’d think of if I ever needed a reliable long-distance or last-minute journey again. Thank you Amar!

We booked Raz Private Hire to transport my elderly father with dementia to a funeral in York, so this was a long journey each way. Amar called my dad to introduce himself, called again the day before as requested to remind him of the correct day and time, and again called him up on the morning of the journey to state his ETA and again remind him of the journey. This was very much appreciated by my father and his family members. Amar also shared his journey with us, so we could live track where my father was, to coordinate collecting him at the arranged meeting point. All timing was accurate to the minute. We would like to thank Amar for his friendly, courteous service and his patience managing a long journey with my dad - hats off to him! He was there as needed at the end of the day to take my dad safely home again. He let us know when my dad was safely back home to the minute, which was reassuring to other family members as my dad is not able to use a mobile phone. We would have no hesitation on using his services again as needed and this could be a very good way for my dad to keep some independence when needing to travel again.

I recently used Raz Private Hire for airport drop off, including their new airport assistance service, and had a great experience. I was travelling alone with 3 very large bags and a carry-on suitcase, and Amar made the entire process completely stress-free.
The vehicle was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Amar loaded and unloaded all of my bags, parked the car, and even helped wheel everything into the check-in area.

Amar couldnt of done any better. My daughter and I missed our flight due to heavy traffic because of the Rangers match which we attended. I should of left earlier as i didnt realise what traffic was like after the game, but Amar was fantastic trying his best to get us there. A Gentleman he was and we will be bk only next time getting a later flight to watch the whole game .

We were travelling from Australia, flying into Glasgow. It was the first time doing this trip with our children so thought an airport transfer to our final destination an hour and a half away would be easier than driving ourselves especially as we weren’t sure how much sleep we would get. Looking through google reviews we came across Raz Private Hire and so glad we did. Even though we booked several months ahead they were extremely helpful answering all of our questions in advice and made us feel comfortable that everything would run smoothly. They even helped us to arrange our own child seats which we took with us for the rest of our trip. This was going above and beyond to which we were extremely grateful for.

Fantastic experience with Raz Taxis. The cars arrived on time for both the pick-up and return, and got us to our destination with plenty of time to spare. The drivers were very friendly and helpful, and kindly accommodated a last minute stop off. Communication was excellent both throughout the booking process and on the day itself.

Above excellent experience with Raz. I needed a lift for an early morning flight. I exchanged communication with them and knew right off they would not let me down. Highly highly recommend! I used this service as I had a 6am flight and wanted to be sure I got to the airport in time, and I am so glad I did! It started to snow right before I was to leave for the airport but my driver, Amar, made sure to arrive a bit early to pick me up and ensured we got to the airport safely in the crazy weather. I also received an email confirmation and text message a few days before and the day before my schedule pick up which put me at ease that I would have a ride at 3am. Great service from Raz hire and our driver Mohammad. We were going from Glasgow to Edinburgh Airport at 3am to catch a flight so I was nervous that the car would turn up OK. I needn't have worried. The confirmation messages received in the day before we left provided reassurance, as did the text and tracking app to see where our driver was. It all went really smoothly. Reliability is key when you've booked a car for an airport journey and Raz hire certainly proved to be 100% reliable, and efficient. Driver Mohammad was great too, thoroughly nice guy.

I booked a taxi for an airport transfer with a little caution, having read reviews of *other* taxi companies who didn't show or over charged.
I booked a couple of days in advance and immediately received an email telling me the name of my driver (so no "we couldn't find a driver" 10 minutes before the taxi was due), and the reg and model of the car so I could be confident as a single lady that it was the right car. The fare was quoted and I paid at the point of booking, so it was all exactly as promised.
Sure enough, on the day Amar arrived 20 minutes early, text to let me know and waited for me (no waiting charge or anything, he just wanted to be sure he was there for me). We had a lovely chat on the way to the airport and everything was totally smooth. I would absolutely recommend this company!

This company was fantastic from beginning to end. The service is outstanding and the prices are excellent, one fixed price payment with no hassle. We had a booking for 3:30am that we then changed to 2:00am on short notice, it only took one 10 second phone call and the booking time was changed without any problems. The car itself is incredibly comfortable and the driver who on this occasion was the owner, was incredibly welcoming and a great laugh. I can’t recommend this company enough.

I talked with Raz on Saturday to book a taxi for Sunday 6am to airport a couple weeks back. He was absolutely professional and very kind. His website is superb and straight forward and you can even pm him on WhatsApp and chat. It was really important for me to feel I wouldn't miss my flight and I am so thankful he agreed to work so early on Sunday for me.

Used mini bus service to take 4 of us from Glasgow central to Milngavie, to start walking the West Highland Way. The driver was early and messaged us to say he had arrived and was waiting outside our hotel. He helped put the bags in the vehicle, which was immaculate.

Great service! Amar, the owner of the company, was professional, on time, and chat a nice wee chat on my way to the airport. Amar, the owner of Raz Hire, rescued my friend and I when Storm Keira stopped all public transport and we were stuck in Glasgow trying to get to Heathrow for a flight and already paid for holiday in Chile. In appalling conditions he drove us down in just over 6 hours with two short stops and then had to drive back himself in equally horrendous conditions. Throughout he was heroic - cheerful and an excellent driver and he certainly didn't overcharge us. We will forever be in his debt! I cannot recommend highly enough

How far in advance do I need to book?
We recommend booking at least 12 hours in advance. Shorter-notice bookings may sometimes be available depending on driver and vehicle availability, while busy periods may require longer notice. Please check our online booking system for the earliest available booking time. Raz remains a pre-booked private hire service and does not operate as an on-demand taxi service.
How do I get a quote or make a booking?

When will I receive my driver details?
Driver details are normally sent by email around 6–12 hours before your scheduled pickup. We aim to allocate your driver around 12 hours before travel wherever possible.
Do you monitor flight arrivals?
Yes. If you provide a valid flight number, we monitor the available flight information and plan your airport pickup around the flight arrival.
What vehicle should I book for my passengers and luggage?
Choose a vehicle with enough passenger and luggage capacity for your group. All luggage must fit safely in the luggage area. Contact us before booking if you are unsure.
