Our Story — How Raz Began

Raz Private Hire was founded with something far more important than a business plan — the encouragement of family and the belief that a better future was possible.

Eight years ago, during a particularly challenging chapter of my life, my wife encouraged me to take a leap of faith and start something of my own. She saw potential in me at a time when I struggled to see it myself.

With her love, support and encouragement, Raz Private Hire was born.

The name RAZ holds a very special meaning. It was inspired by my three children at the time — Raafiah, Adam and Zainab.

Since then, our family has grown with the arrival of our fourth child, Ayaan. All four of my children are at the heart of everything I do and continue to inspire the values upon which Raz Private Hire is built.

What began as a small step towards a new beginning has grown into a business built on family values, determination, honesty and genuine care for the people who place their trust in us.

Our Philosophy — A Personal Commitment

At Raz Private Hire, I believe running a business is about far more than simply providing a service. It’s about honesty, integrity, responsibility and keeping your word.

As a practising Muslim, I have always tried to run my business according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), with fairness, compassion and a strong sense of responsibility towards others. These principles guide the way I treat every customer, regardless of their background or beliefs.

Once you have confirmed and paid for your journey with Raz Private Hire, you become my responsibility.

From that moment, I believe it is my duty to do everything reasonably within my control to ensure your journey goes as planned.

This is why I maintain two vehicles of my own. If one is unavailable, I aim to have another ready. If a driver unexpectedly lets us down, I am prepared to step in personally whenever possible.

Running a business isn’t always easy, and unexpected challenges can arise. But I firmly believe that when someone places their trust in Raz Private Hire, that trust should never be taken lightly.

To me, a booking isn’t just a transaction. It’s a promise to do my very best to look after you and your journey.

Our Commitment — Putting People Before Profit

At Raz Private Hire, we understand that travel doesn’t always go according to plan. Flights get delayed, schedules change and unexpected situations arise.

That’s why we actively monitor flights and do our very best to adapt when circumstances change.

Over the past eight years, I’ve always believed that customers shouldn’t automatically face additional charges simply because something beyond their control has gone wrong.

Where we can accommodate changes without incurring additional costs, we do our best to help without charging extra. However, when circumstances create unavoidable additional expenses, we believe in being honest and transparent about any charges that may apply.

Our approach has always been simple: people come before profit.

We don’t measure the value of a customer by how often they book with us or how much they spend. Whether someone travels with Raz Private Hire once or becomes a regular customer, they deserve the same care, respect and commitment.

We may not be able to control every situation, but we can always control how we respond, how we communicate and how hard we try to find a solution.

Because at Raz Private Hire, doing the right thing matters more than simply making a sale.

A Personal Message from Our Founder

When I look back at the journey of Raz Private Hire, I do so with a heart full of gratitude.

I have always believed that Raz Private Hire belongs to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala). I am simply its caretaker, entrusted with the responsibility of looking after the business, its customers and the people who depend on it.

Everything I have achieved, every opportunity I have been given and every challenge I have overcome, I am grateful to my Creator for.

I don’t believe success should be measured solely by financial achievements or how big a company becomes. To me, true success is being able to wake up each day with gratitude, earn an honest living, fulfil my responsibilities and treat people with kindness and fairness.

Raz Private Hire has been a journey of faith, family, perseverance and countless blessings.

To every customer who has trusted us with their journey, whether once or many times, I offer my sincere thanks.
